Extending Compassion Beyond Words: Kafans, Cemetery Works, and the Spirit of Zongo Unity

At Kumasi Zongo Home and Abroad Unity Foundation (KZHAA), our mission goes far beyond charity — it is about compassion, unity, and dignity for every soul, both living and departed. In recent weeks, our team has continued the cemetery improvement works and expanded our Kafan (burial shroud) donation project to support families in need during their most difficult moments. Thanks to the generosity of our partners and kind donors, Al Furqan provided funds for the shrouds, which were purchased in bundles — each cut into 10-yard pieces to serve more families. These kafans are distributed freely to assist those who cannot afford the cost of burial materials, ensuring that no Muslim is denied a proper and respectful burial. At the same time, our volunteers have been working tirelessly at the Kumasi Cemetery, grading the roads, cleaning the surroundings, and restoring a sense of peace to the final resting place of our loved ones. These efforts are a reflection of what unity in the Zongo truly means — helping one another in life, in death, and in every stage in between. But beyond these activities lies a deeper message: we rise when we lift others. In a time when many struggle with hardship, KZHAA continues to remind our people that compassion is not just an act — it is a responsibility. Whether it is through donations, volunteering, or even spreading the message, every contribution strengthens our community bond. We call upon all members of the Zongo, both Home and Abroad, to stand with us. Together, we can sustain this noble work, expand our reach, and bring hope to more families. 📞 Support or Volunteer: +233 530 538857 🌐 Visit: www.ksizongohomeabroad.org
